Some sporting careers are carefully mapped out. Others begin with an unexpected challenge. For Strati partner athlete Paige Travis, it was the latter.

Growing up in Rochdale, Paige's sporting background was in gymnastics rather than rugby. Her introduction to the game came through a chance encounter at her grandmother's pub, where a local rugby coach challenged her to attend a training session, suggesting she wasn't tough enough.

Determined to prove him wrong, Paige turned up. Despite spraining her ankle during that first session, she was hooked. What began as a pub challenge would become the starting point of an extraordinary sporting journey.

FROM LOCAL RUGBY TO SUPER LEAGUE SUCCESS

Paige's talent and determination soon caught the attention of St Helens, who recruited her from Littleborough Rugby Union ahead of the 2019 season.

Making her debut that year, she quickly established herself as an important part of one of the most successful teams in women's rugby league.

In 2021, Paige helped St Helens secure a historic treble, winning the Women's Super League, League Leaders' Shield and Challenge Cup.

Further success followed, with Paige contributing to an incredible four consecutive Women's Challenge Cup victories between 2021 and 2024, including the historic first women's final at Wembley Stadium in 2023.

Her performances also earned international recognition, representing England at the 2022 Rugby League World Cup and against Australia in Las Vegas in 2025.

But for Paige, success has never meant standing still.

PUSHING BEYOND THE COMFORT ZONE

In 2025, Paige took another significant step in her career, moving to Australia to join Parramatta Eels in the NRL Women's Premiership.

Competing against some of the world's best players, she made 11 appearances during her time in Australia.

The move represented more than another chapter in her sporting career. It was an opportunity to experience a different environment, challenge herself against new opposition and continue developing as an athlete.

Returning to St Helens for the 2026 season, Paige brought that international experience back to the club where she had established her reputation.

PERFORMANCE IN BUILT IN THE DETAILS

At Strati, we believe the difference between good and great performance is often found in the smallest details.

It's a philosophy that connects naturally with Paige's approach to professional sport.

Rugby league demands strength, endurance, resilience and the ability to perform under pressure. But behind every match-winning moment are countless hours of preparation, training and recovery.

For Paige, continually challenging herself has been a defining characteristic of her career. It's also why we're proud to work with her as a Strati partner athlete.

Our partnership is built around a shared belief that performance should never stand still. Through innovation-led technical apparel, Strati aims to help athletes focus on what matters most: their preparation, their performance and the pursuit of continuous improvement.

Paige has provided valuable input during the development of Strati products, giving insight into every detail of their comfort and performance during training.

For us, working with athletes like Paige isn't simply about visibility. It's about understanding the demands of competitive sport and learning from those who experience them every day.

A NEW CHAPTER. A WORLD CUP OPPORTUNITY.

Now, another defining moment awaits.

Paige has been selected to represent Wales at the 2026 Women's Rugby League World Cup, joining a squad preparing to make history with the nation's first appearance at the tournament.

Having previously represented England, Paige brings invaluable international experience to the Welsh team.

Wales begin their campaign against England in Perth on 17 October, before facing Samoa on 23 October and reigning world champions Australia on 1 November.

It's a formidable challenge, but one that represents everything Paige's career has been built upon: embracing opportunity, testing herself against the best and refusing to settle for what she's already achieved.

THE NEXT MARGINAL GAIN

From that first unexpected training session to competing on the world's biggest stage, Paige's journey is a reminder that progress rarely follows a straight line. It requires courage to begin, discipline to continue and the determination to keep improving.

As Paige prepares to represent Wales on the international stage, everyone at Strati will be following her journey with pride, because whatever the challenge, the principle remains the same.

Marginal Gains. Maximum Performance.
